WEEK 2.2: Urban sketching and Visual journalism

This is the most enjoyable and interesting part that I learned this week. We separated in few groups, then we started to draw out our partner’s face. The difference between the portrait sketch and contour drawing is we must draw it with one line and without seeing the paper. This sounded hard but the outcome was surprisingly artistic. I found out that it was funny when you observed and drew out the partner’s face.

The second one was urban sketching that I learned today. We started our first masterpiece together in INTI campus. I sketched out the situation of the particular time as it was precious and would not happen once over again. And the following pieces of sketching were also finished in college by different perspectives. I drew out the story not the scenery of what I saw. This was what we can’t tell with a picture we captured down. The was a good experience because I learned to discover our surroundings attentively.
