Critical Context

Gender Impact on Female Graphic Designers' Career Satisfaction, Successful Graphic Design Agencies Owned by Women Not Men, Design Phenom Jessica Walsh, Keeping the Movement Alive, and Women's Leadership in The Arts are the five points for analysis in my content. What I'm trying to say is that design is a competitive activity, but few women hold leadership positions in the design industry. Men receive more attention in the design industry, which is influenced by traditional ideas, and women's needs are frequently ignored or considered insufficiently. All of this is the result of gender discrimination, prejudice against women, and a lack of tolerance. The content will examine its factors as well as the methods that the company or women themselves can use to solve the problem and achieve an equal working environment for men and women.

Independent Project

I created a survey to determine whether or not there is gender inequality in the field of graphic design. This is to gather everyone's understanding, opinions, or feelings on the subject, whether to observe the target group or to explain your own experience. I'm hoping to get 100 responses from various groups of people. The responses from various perspectives will aid the works and content I intend to present.

Following that, my work will be expressed in the form of publication design, expressing the inner words of women, bringing out their own opinions and explaining their difficulty, what causes them to lack self-confidence at work, and why they can't reach a higher level and work for a long time. The reason for this is that when women reach the marriageable age, there are numerous factors to consider. It is difficult to balance family and career, which is why the term "strong woman" exists. On the other hand, men will continue to advance in their careers because they bear a great deal of responsibility in a family, so they must work hard and strive for higher wages in order to keep their jobs and provide a better life for their families. Naturally, there will be some pressure and motivation to keep working and expressing themselves.

External brief Project

Following that, I developed the topics, which are ‘Pay more attention to women's workplace status' and 'How to practice gender diversity to achieve workplace equality'. The content to be expressed is a call for everyone to pay attention to feminism in order to achieve gender equality in the workplace. Gender identity is more important than ever as we move toward a more individualistic society. Stereotypes can be broken through sensitive design. Cognitive biases, political biases, gender biases, and social biases must all be overcome by designers. As a result, more attention should be paid to women's needs, desires, and preferences, and more feminist designers are required. Simultaneously, visual effects will depict solutions to this phenomenon, such as creating an inclusive workplace, achieving gender diversity in job positions, providing unconscious bias training, and implementing fair pay practices. In this manner, a world-class team can be formed in order to see overall progress in gender diversity.
