WEEK 7: PROGRESS OF PROJECT PROPOSAL & CRITICAL CONTEXT

Critical Context

Continuing from the previous topic, I will do something related to the previous topic, which is ‘getting the lead for women.' As a result, my next step will be to investigate the factors that contribute to the disparity in treatment of girls in the graphic design industry, as well as to comprehend the issues and differences that boys and girls face at work. Following that, I will collect public opinions as well as their own experience, and it will be able to see how much people care about this issue and what solutions they can offer. Finally, by creating visual works to highlight this status quo, raise public awareness, and address the issue of unequal treatment of women in the industry.

Independent Project

As a female designer, I am concerned about my prospects after graduation. Among them will be concerns about roadblocks encountered along the way, such as whether other people's treatment of me will cast doubt on my ability because I am a girl, or whether I will receive unequal treatment, preventing me from continuing to work in this industry. Because I believe that today's society continues to struggle with gender inequality. This project will allow me to investigate why men hold the majority of senior positions in the graphic design field, and what factors contribute to this. Later, I want to reveal the amazing gender differences in the design industry, collect everyone's opinions, and work to solve this problem so that women in this industry can be treated equally with men.

Following that, I began looking for information on the subject, analyzing the causes of the problem as well as my personal beliefs and ideas about becoming a graphic designer. I'm hoping that by soliciting your feedback, I'll be able to make a small improvement in this situation. This is not only beneficial to me, but it is also beneficial to other women in terms of increased opportunities and equal treatment. After that, I will present with the collected solutions that will be sorted, and combined with my requirements and ideas for this industry.

External brief Project

The competition's content can express diversity and tolerance, and it is related to my theme. It can be used to demonstrate that, despite the fact that the majority of design graduates are female, women are consistently overlooked in the field of design. I'd like to use this opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of gender equality, to understand each other's tolerance and understanding, to provide more development opportunities for girls, and to resolve gender differences between men and women. Through this competition, I will be able to learn more about the factors that contribute to gender inequality, as well as the methods that can be used to solve it in order to achieve gender equality, and then I will be able to convey this viewpoint and practice to the audience, so that more people will be able to face this problem and work together to solve it.
