WEEK 4.2: PHOTONOVEL- REFLECTION & DOCUMENTATION

As I know photonovel is a story, usually based on a film or TV episode, consisting of chronological photographs or film with dialogue enclosed in balloons, as in the style of a comic book. To the project, I think it's very new, because I haven't designed it before, and I hope to learn more new knowledge and skills through this assignment. In retrospect, I often draw comics with dialogues to spend the time when I was a child.

I have a partial understanding of narrative techniques, which is known as a literary technique,literary device, or fictional device. Those are the lists of it, including setting, plots, perspective, style, theme and character. Common techniques relevant to style, or the language chosen to tell a story, include metaphors, similes, personification, imagery, hyperbole, and alliteration. Techniques relevant to plot, which are the sequence of events that make up a narrative, include backstory,flashback, flash-forward, and foreshadowing. Also, I also want to learn the photography and film of the famous photographer, understand their shooting techniques, and use the techniques better to bring out the overall story understandably to the audience.

I learned that I can present stories to everyone through different types and ways of works, which can also bring educational significance. And these stories are things that they have never understood and known, and have a vague impression, so they can be used to give them a deeper impression and understanding. In addition, I also learned that through conversations and interviews with others, I can understand their own stories. Because each person has a different experience, I can learn from them what I have never experienced before. Furthermore, I can also strengthen my ability to express in this assignment, and bring out a clear message to others.

I learned that through communication with others, I can gain knowledge and views of others on things, and their impact on society. So next I want to find a interviewer, and his/her experiences and stories are attractive to me, so that I can continue to pass and share the interesting information to more people and inspire them.
