PLAY Typographic Mini-Golf Course

In this project, they made it for their 2nd birthday and themed a party around Work & Play, and how the two work together to create a happy studio. They made a 1.5m x 4.5m playable mini-golf course as the centre piece to the party. The current record is set by OIiver - around the course in 7 shots.
And here’s another case study.
A typographic miniature golf course
by ollie willis

Willis is not a golfer, but he does design typefaces and he found an metaphor between golfing and graphic design — they both require patience, exactness, and are often considered by their respective professionals to express emotion: keep on trying until success. In the structure, the course follows the curve around the lowercase, sans-serif letter ‘g’, the first letter in willis’s series. He is working towards building an entire alphabetic course, so others can interact with the structures, assembling letters from the 26 holes into words, names, and sentences.
It’s nice to see some creativity given to something with such trivial general value. Min-Golf is one of those cursed ‘family activities’ do with children too old to play in a sandbox but too young to be left alone.
