Today is the first lesson of this subject, we're all doing fine but difference is that we are now being conducted through e Learning during this COVID pandemic. Although it was very convenient of studying online, but I have used to the face to face teaching classes. During the first brief for Graphic Design in Context, my lecturer explained and guided us for the following projects. There was also a timeline that showed what we going to do for this semester. Our first project that is given is Placard. We have to design a moving typography in GIF type that related to protest. Our topic is about consumerism and anti-consumerism. What I thought was consumerism led people to over-consumption, because of the advertisements that attracted consumers's attention. We're going to look into the typographic language, materials and context impact on a message that design in things like billboards, TV programs, and also social media nowadays to make us spend more money on. So this is the reason and also a successful advertisement be like. We have to do more research on the visual language of protest that what we want to advocate behind the messages. Like example, we often noticed the luxury brand and also discounts that are being advertised to earn profits and these are the secrets of consumer seduction that I have to find out.
